Badger

Badger is 6 years old and has done flyball with The Bellestars for nearly three years. He is Belle's best friend and always runs second to her. He suffers from epilepsy but that doesn't stop him competing in our first team. He has competed in the Summer Championships in 2004 & 2005 and helped the team to win the trophy. He lives for Flyball and is owned and handled by Tracey.

Bart

Bart is a Parsons Jack Russell who is competing in starter competitons for this season until he is old enough to run with the team dogs in open competition. He is speeding up all the time and loves his Flyball. He like Ruby has little tennis balls because normal sized ones are too big. He is owned and handled by Joanna who fancied a change from Collies. He loves chasing other dogs and wears a tag on his harness telling everyone whose team he is from in case he gets lost!

Xmas Bart

What can we say about Bart!! Joanna loves to spoil him because he is lttle enough to be picked up. He has an outfit for all occasions and loves to be the star of the show.

Belle

Belle is The Bellestars height dog who runs at 11". She was born on Boxing Day 2000 and lives for flyball. Since she was a pup she has adored balls and is the reason why Doncaster Bellestars was formed. She is a Cross Breed although many people think she is a small collie. She is the Queen of the team and knows it! She competes most weekends and is our highest earning awards dog. Belle is owned and handled by Debbie.

Blizzard

Blizzard is a White GSD who adores his flyball and usually the other team's too!! He is owned and handled by Debbie although she doesn't always admit to this! Blizzard is the clown of the team and we have worked very hard to persuade him that our balls and flyball box is better than anyone else's. He was born in 2003 and has just had a year out of flyball due to the terrible two's! He is a very sweet natured boy who keeps the rest of the club dogs in check.

Bryn

Bryn is a Working Sheepdog who was taken in as a stray by Stuart. He like all flyball dogs loves balls and his motto is why have one when two is better!! He will run with any of the dogs in any of the teams and like Stuart is a laid backed guy. He has been with Bellestars since the club was formed and is one of our founder dogs.

Chaz

Chaz is a Working Sheepdog owned and handled by Gemma who also runs him in Crufts Flyball. He is one of our first team dogs due to his speed and Gemma's handling ability. He like Badger helped Bellestars win their trophy at the Summer Championships. Gemma would love to run him more at Flyball but due to Uni she can't.

Cleo

Cleo is another height dog owned and handled by Sue. She has taken a lot of patience to train as she used to jump the arena fencing for a run around. Cleo has been out of flyball for about 6 months due to serious injury but she has recovered brilliantly, however she now runs on a slant and now has the nickname of Wonky Dog! She runs with the tiny dogs because of this but still loves to compete.

Dash

Dash is a Working Sheepdog owned and handled by Anne. He has been coming to the Club since he was a puppy and was a natural at Flyball. He is extremely reliable and will run with any dog. He loves Flyball but loves his tugger more which is his reward for coming back. He competed in Crufts Kennel Club in 2005 with Matt handling him and did extremely well.

Dudley

Dudley is a Lurcher owned and handled by Tracy. Lurchers by their nature are not easy dogs to train to a static object especially balls but Tracy has done a brilliant job and he now competes in an open team. He has to go for a long lie down in an afternoon as he cannot see the point of running both morning and afternoon!! After all, it's only for a ball!

Flo

Flo is a Working Sheepdog owned and handled by Matt. She was Matt's first flyball dog and was fully reliable.

Due to illness Flo is now retired from Flyball but still runs up and down the jumps at home.

Fly

Fly is a Cross Retriever Collie and is owned by Anne but now handled by Matt. She competes at Crufts with him and is one of our most reliable team dogs. Runs as a lead dog for our second team, she sometimes runs with the first team because of her reliability and Matt's handling skills.

Henry

Henry is a rescue Golden Retriever who only started Flyball in 2005. He is owned by Robin but handled by Debbie or anyone who will have him! A lovely boy, doesn't like conflict and runs with the little dogs. He is fully reliable although has to run as a last dog because oncoming dogs frighten him and he spits his ball out. We are trying to get him a bit more confidence to stop this. Loves flyball and is ball mad.

Lady

Lady is a cross breed who has been with The Bellestars since the club started. She is a steady dog who cannot understan what all the fuss is really about! She is owned and handled by Sue. It took her quite some time to get her Flyball Dog award and is now semi retired. She is a great backup dog to have especially when the young ones don't want to do Flyball in a competiton.

Logan

Logan is a Working Sheepdog who runs with the first team. He is owned and handled by Joanna. He is a real gentleman and loves his flyball. He will not run for anyone else except for Joanna, a true Mummy's boy!! He is fully reliable and will run any position.

Penny

Penny is a Collie who is owned and handled by Maureen. At the moment only runs in starters but loves her flyball.

Poppy

Poppy is an English Springer Spaniel owned and handled by Lesley. She loves her flyball but does not do mornings! We run her in starters at the moment because she loves to go and say hello to everyone around the ring!

Rowan

Rowan is a Border Collie and is Logan's litter brother. Owned by David (Joanna's Dad) but handled now by Joanna. He runs in our second team. He is unusual because he is almost pure white with a few black spots. He is fully reliable, loves flyball but hates the heat.

Ruby

Ruby is what is known as a Pudding Jack Russell. She is very tiny and is one of the smallest that do flyball. Has to run with little tennis balls because she cannot fit the others in her mouth! Owned and handled by Debbie, this little terror is commonly known on the flyball circuit as Ruby Rocket!

Sito

Sito is an English Springer Spaniel owned and handled by Jayden who is Joanna's son. He is now nearly a year old and is just starting training. We will update the picture soon so you can see what he looks like now. At the moment loves teddy bears more than balls but we are working on it!

Woody

Woody is our Golden Labrador. He is owned and handled by Paula and runs in our first team as the anchor dog. He is described on the Flyball circuit as a Lab with a six pack! He competes most weekends and lives for flyball. He is a very leggy Lab so it gives him an advantage over some of the collies!
